I think the weather people called it right today. It could not have been a better day. Olivia and I started our day getting a pedicure. She had fun and I think she entertained the girls in the salon.
After lunch we decided to head outside to enjoy the day. We went to a park that has a splash fountain. She has never down interest it before, so we didn't put her in her swimming suit. After some encouragement, she went all in. she loved it.

Happy Father's Day!
(written by Olivia)
To the very BEST daddy:
M: makes the best suppers ever!
Y: young at heart. We like to play a lot!
D: dances with me in the living room.
A: arts and crafts. We do the little kits from Lowe's that mommy brings home.
D: drives me around in the bike trailer.
D: Dairy Queen is our place to go without mommy
Y: thanks for being You!
I love you so much!

Omaha
Two weeks ago, we headed to Omaha to visit the Children's Museum and the zoo. Both my parents were supposed to meet us down there, but my dad was working 7 days a week because of the flooding in Western Iowa.
We went down on Sunday afternoon and checked into the hotel. I wasn't thinking and didn't pack swimsuits. Olivia saw the pool first thing and asked if we could go swimming fifty times. We made an impromptu visit to mall across the street so we could swim.
The Omaha Children's Museum was a blast. I would say it is perfect for kids up to age 7. Olivia had a great time exploring different things. Her favorite thing there was the grocery store they had set up. They had little carts and baskets for the kids to use. They even had a cash register with a scanner. It was really cute.
She was a little fish. We practically had to bribe her to get her out. We did go back into the pool after supper and had to pry her out again.
The next day we went to the Henry Doorly Zoo. We have done this the last 3 years and Olivia just loves going. It is a great zoo and easily takes up the whole day.

Other things in the museum were dinosaurs, a carousel, machines and a house that is child size. We played there for about 3 hours, we could have been there longer. Although, the whole time we were there, she asked if we could go swimming.

She said the gorilla was Papa Wayne. |
Just like the pool, she kept asking if she could ride the zoo train. She was sleeping at the end, but was mumbling about riding it. She really perked up on the train, with big smiles the whole way.
Omaha was a nice little get away. I think Olivia enjoyed it too!

Netticut
Josh had to go to Connecticut last week for work. While Josh was gone, Olivia would tell people that her daddy was in 'Netticut. Olivia was happy to get a new puppy to add to her collection.
